I am a qualified teacher, with sixteen years experience as a class teacher. I have been a senior leader and worked as a Specialist Lead in Education, going into other schools to work with teachers, subject leaders and head teachers to help bring about improvements to teaching and learning. I have been a facilitator on the Excellent Teacher Programme, leading training for other teachers in effective questioning.
In 2025, I took retirement through ill-health, due to my multiple sclerosis. While this condition has slowed me down physically and some many aspects of my life more difficult, it has also presented me with opportunities (like becoming a learning coach!) and challenged me to view life slightly differently. It has made me realise the importance of a positive attitude, not just for my own well-being, but for those around me.
I believe in creating strong, professional relationships to bring the best out of children. I thrive in situations where I can make a positive difference to others, and see coaching as an opportunity to help others achieve their potential.
As a self-employed learning coach, my business relies on my reputation, which I hope to build with every session I deliver. The importance of good Maths and English skills for future life chances is huge and I love to help make the difference for a range of learners.
